Supers

My mom bought all the grand baby boys a cape with their initials on it. Dalon loves to wear his and actually wears it quite frequently. Lucas recently got into wearing it. However, he transforms into SuperLucas and he calls for SuperD to join him in jumping from things. We ended up wearing them tp the grocery store last week because Lucas explained that he needed his "super" to be able to walk! Here are some shots I got of them playing the other day!
Lucas 'jumping'
Dalon roaming around...such a happy little guy!
Lucas explaining to Dalon how a 'super' works!
This one is my favorite because Lucas is still holding Dalon's hand and taking him to his bike. I wish I would have recording him explaining this too. But they are walking to get their bikes and ride off in the supers!

Introducing Kanye Bladen and Walkie-Talkie

I have been meaning to post Dalon's first steps.  He started walking about a month ago, but here are a few pictures of him roaming and exploring.  He is almost to the point of running already.  So he and Lucas love to chase each other around everywhere we go!!!
He also likes to climb, no matter how tiny or big.
Here he is in the front yard, strolling around
Something in the dirt caught his eye
He likes to stand and then almost sit, and then stand again.  It is pretty funny to watch!
Here they are together in their 'basketball shorts', notice they each have their own basketball!
So we were at the store the other day and we bought these glasses because Lucas said he really liked them.  Little did I know, he really meant it.  Here he is wearing them right after we bought them.

I took them off him when we were getting in the car but I handed them back to him.  He put them back on to go to sleep!

Bedtime, and still the glasses (added in are the beanie and car slippers)
A close up!

Summary of Disneyland

I wasn't sure how the kids would react to Disneyland.  Dalon is a little young and I wasn't sure what Lucas would do.  But before Owen turned three we decided to go and check it out.  This lil' movie is a good summary of our day.  They LOVED it!  I thought the boys would tucker out by eight, but this was filmed at eight.  Needless to say, we didn't get on the road until 11:30PM!  I was shocked, but Disneyland is way more fun with your kids!!! On this ride is Austin, Adrienne, Owen, Lucas, Dalon and myself, also filming!)

No Nuts...No Eggs.

Usually Lucas will tell people no nuts, no eggs because he knows he's not supposed to eat them.  Well, until Easter rolls around and then he doesn't care so much.  He wants to find eggs and eat whatever.  Luckily, my family was well prepared and my mom made a bunch of food egg-free and safe for Lucas!  And we did plastic eggs.  Here is Easter in a nutshell!

Dalon had two eggs and was quite content.
The Easter Bunny came during the boys' naps and here they are getting ready to go outside and find the eggs!!!  Popop was a good sport to help out big D.
Lucas was so happy when he found his Easter basket!
The Wednesday before we went to the park and Sparkles the clown came and made balloon animals!  She was a good sport.  Lucas asked for a tiger, that is what she is making and when she handed it to him, he threw it on the ground and stomped on it until he had popped ALL of the balloons involved.  She actually did make him a few more animals and indulge him in his popping affections!

HAPPY 1st Birthday DALON!!

I have two sister-in-laws who are absolutely AMAZING!  Adrienne stayed the night with us before and helped me get my house straightened and the boys dressed and ready for the day, then as it progressed she worked in the kitchen cleaning up after EVERYONE!  Then my other sister-in-law drove all the way from San Diego by herself to come to Dalon's Birthday!! She is his godmother and I think he knows it because he loves her so much.  So after driving in the car by herself all morning she took pictures of him (which I am sure will be amazing because she has some awesome photography skills!) And then she cleaned him up and his highchair after a super messy cake eating experience!  So for me, the day was relaxing and fun!  But for my poor family, they worked really hard!  Thanks for making this day so special!!  I love you all!  And now, the pictures I promised!

Uncle Scott and Uncle Michael-Thank you for doing the BBQing.  I love you guys!
Here is Uncle Bugabee (Luke) and Uncle Ryan!

Surprise!!

Our super good friends that moved to AZ to pursue a master's degree decided to surprise us and be here to see Dalon turn ONE!  Last Thursday, I opened the door and the first one I saw was little Austin with a HUGE grin on his cute face!  Then I looked up and saw Karalee!  I was so excited I jumped out and gave her hug!  She explained that they drove through the night the night before to surprise us and be here for Dalon's birthday! So we got to hang out with them pretty much all weekend!  Adrienne and Michael came over and we all had a blast together!

Then on Saturday, Dalon Robert Bladen  turned ONE YEAR OLD!  On April
8, 2008 at 11:32 PM he was born at 20.5 inches and 6 lbs. 12 oz. and here he is NOW!  He is still pretty much long and skinny.  He is 30.5 inches and 18.6 lbs.  I will post pictures of the birthday party to come!!!

APRIL FOOL'S

This one is not very original, but it was still pretty funny nonetheless.  I went to change Dalon's diaper and he came back wearing this..

This was the closest I could get to the back.  He likes to move a lot!
