Egg Allergy

So we recently learned that Lucas has an allergy to soy, wheat, eggs, milk, nuts, corn and sesame seeds!  We were a little astonished considering he ate eggs almost everyday!!  ANyway, the Dr. Suggested that we cut eggs and nuts completely out of his diet! (Nuts we had already been avoiding and fortunately he said they tested fairly low, but that nuts had a nasty habit of switching without warning so we need to avoid them for a few more years)  With eggs, however, he tested moderately allergic.  Well, that means anything with eggs or egg proteins in it has to be avoided, and very strictly while we are testing for the next few months.  So we decided that we would experiment with baking without eggs.  Lucas loves to bake!  We have made some delicious rolls, cookies, pancakes and waffles without eggs!  Although not all of them were delicious the first time we made them, we are just figuring out what needs what to taste good, so any suggestions anyone may have are very welcome!  Here he is being baker!

Christmas Picture attempts

Trying to get them to look at the same time was a challenge, let alone getting them to sit next to each other.  As you can see Lucas was eager to play or army crawl away.  This year we decided our family picture is going to be a picture in motion of the boys, so enjoy, that is the real essence of our family!

This is so that picture your parents took of you when you were little.  Now you know how hard your parents tried to make you smile and how hard they laughed when this is how the picture turned out.

Lucas was so excited to go meet Santa.  The first time he sat on his lap, he asked him for a cookie please.  Which sounds like "toochie peas" but Santa gave him a cookie.  Then when I wanted to get a picture with both boys, Lucas got very excited.  He said he was going to ask for an airplane and a cookie and something else that I couldn't quite make out.  And this is what they did on Santa's lap, doesn't look very exciting but it was funny for us parents!

Are you okay my little buddy?

Sleep Eating?!?!

Lucas was really tired and was falling asleep while he was eating as fast as he could.  I was laughing because I believe he actually fell asleep at one point. Sorry I can't figure out how to rotate it.

BROTHERS!

Here are a few pictures of the boys just hanging out.  Lucas got a little Escalade for his birthday and at first he was very hesitant to even go in it!  Then as things winded down he decided he would sit in it while his cousin drove.  The next few days he decided he liked it, but he wanted to drive his brother around.  So I would stand at the back and kind of guide them, as you can see Lucas thought that was a great idea so he got out and did the same!  Now he wakes up and wants to go outside and drive baby D. So here they are!  Good morning!

( I will post pictures of his birthday shortly!)

More New York, More Baseball

The Boys at Yankee Stadium

Lucas and Dalon before the game, during the game and then after the game!

Yankee Game in the Original Stadium

So I married a man who is enough of a sports fanatic to fly across the country to go to a baseball game and call it history!  And it was so much fun!  Also because we met up with my best friend, who happens to live in NY.  We also went with half of the McCarthy family.  We had so much fun during our trip.  Here are a few pictures of some things that we did while there!
